During a sitdown with MTV News, Kreayshawn speaks on spending time in studio with Kid Cudi working on 'Like It Or Love It' from her debut.

'Since every song sounds so vastly different, the features are gonna be everywhere. With Cudi, we didn't really plan [to make a song], he came in and said, 'Oh I'm really into this punk stuff' and I was like, 'My mom was in a punk band!' From there Cudi brought in a guitar and began playing riffs for a track he had in mind, and they eventually incorporated live drums into the final product. The song that me and Cudi did is really punk-inspired. But he does gas that track though. Every time it comes on I know his whole verse by heart.'

Lil' Wayne to New York City: I Don't Like You

'Flat out: I don't like New York,' is how Lil' Wayne summed up his dislike for the Big Apple in an interview with MTV News' Rob Markman. While out in Las Vegas for the annual Magic Convention to promote TRUKFIT and his new sneaker with Supra, Weezy spoke on the recent bad luck he's encountered in NYC. If you remember, he was arrested for a gun charge in 2007 following a concert in Manhattan. The incident lead to him serving a year in jail back in 2010. More recently, the bad luck continued as Wayne made news after his decision to pull headliner Nicki Minaj from Summer Jam 2012 back in June. The face of Young Money did touch on the good time he had during the make-up show last week that included guests Cam'Ron, Drake, and Foxy Brown.

'You're not supposed to leave it at, 'Everything happens for a reason,' ' Wayne said of how the failed SJ set turned into a blessing in disguise. 'I believe everything happens for a reason and then you make the most of that reason. I think we made the most of it last week.'

After the jump check some footage and photos from Weezy's TRUKFIT booth and sneaker launch in Las Vegas'.

Youtube Censorship: It's Happening in South Korea, Are We Next?

Excuse us for a break in your regularly scheduled programming to address a recent issue that caught our attention. As avid Youtube users we thought you might find it interesting to hear about a new Youtube censorship law passed in South Korea. An old friend of ours, Snacky Chan, was an influential MC in the Asian-American hip-hop scene in the late 90s and early 2000s. Now, based in South Korea, Roy Kim aka Snacky Chan, still pursues music with his independent Korean hip-hop label Dynasty Muzic. Tonight, he shares some news affecting artists in the far East.

Chan: The South Korean entertainment industry is up in arms over a new law requiring all music videos to be screened by the Korean Media Rating Board before being uploaded onto sites such as Youtube, Vimeo, or any other portal sites on the net. Although claiming to have a democratic government, the new rule sounds like a step in the direction of its Northern counterpart aka Kim Jong ILL land.

The law is a major setback for the rapidly growing Korean music industry which has experienced a boom in 2011, raking in approximately 3.8 billion dollars in big foreign markets such as Japan, Europe, and Southeastern Asia.

Yang Hyun Suk, former member of SeoTaiji, an iconic hip hop group that debuted in the 80's, is now one of the most powerful figures in the Korean music industry. The Asian 'Russell Simmons,' is the top boss at YG Entertainment, home to pop sensations Big Bang, 2ne1, and PSY of 'Oppa Gangnam Style' fame.

Founder and CEO of YG Entertainment Yang Hyun Suk

In a recent interview Mr. Yang said, 'Implementing a policy where Music Videos must first be screened before being uploaded online is like splashing cold water over a situation where our music is properly being spread to all the corners of the world,' he continued. 'Instead of trying to be of any help in further spreading our music to the world, I don't understand why they have come up with a policy that only harms the artists and the producers.'

In an effort to keep their videos 'real,' independent and major labels have uploaded a number of sexually suggestive vids before the law took effect last Saturday. One of them, by newly signed indie artist MSG would definitely not have made the cut due to the sexual nature of his vid. 'I think it's embarrassing and an unnecessary obstacle to artistic creativity,' says the 22 year old songwriter. 'For guys like us in the underground, they're taking away the major competitive advantage
we had which was freedom of expression.'

Dynasty Muzik indie artist 'MSG'

Other artists such as Big Bang's leader G-Dragon, also experienced a delay on the release of his new single which was projected to drop on the same day the law took effect, August 18th.

What do you think about this new law?

just because you don't like it, pls don't accuse me of being 'bribed' lol. I can totally accept a difference of opinion. But if you think I'm being bribed then just don't visit. It's not good for you as a reader. I don't know Kwame, but I'll check it out'.well I would have if you had a different approach. Either way, I've done my time in this game and contributed enough to have the right to have an unpopular opinion now and then. I don't really give a rat's ass if anyone agrees with me most of the time. And I also don't feel any need to be in the majority or the elitist minority. The best part'.I also reserve the right to change my opinion at will. It's big fun.
have a lovely evening! Sorry to disappoint!

112's Q Talks About Forgotten Bad Boy Classics: 'Cheat On You,' 'Miss You,' & 'Jealous Guys'

(Q Parker of 112 tells the backstory behind a couple Bad Boy Classics)

The late 90s will forever be my favorite time in hip-hop. I know there was better music made before and after but the jiggy-commerical-thug era was so magical and cheesy, haha. How could you not love it? Undeniably, Bad Boy ran that time period. BIG, Puff, Mase, 112, Black Rob and the L.O.X. all had classic first albums in my book. Ma$e's first LP, Harlemworld, in particular was one of my favorites. It had the chart toppers but also forgotten classics like 'Playa Way' (feat. 8-Ball & MJG), 'Cheat On You' (feat. Lil Cease & Jay-Z), and 'Jealous Guys' (feat. Puff Daddy). During a recent interview which was definitely more of a candid convo with Q Parker of 112, I had the chance to get the back stories to a few of these forgotten Bad Boy classics.

'Jealous Guys'
Puffy was always obsessed with New Edition and pushed 112 to try and capture some of their swag. This lead to the New Edition sampled, hilarious last song from Ma$e's Harlemworld. Q says he was really trying to show them how to get down like Bobby Brown and the boys.

'Cheat On You' (feat. Lil Cease & Jay-Z)
This was recorded at Jermaine Dupri's crib. At the the time the cool thing to do was bringing chicks they were bagging to the studio. Eventually, this lead to the Bad Boy guys swapping girls without even realizing it. The scandalous studio session/orgy fests the Bad Boys had inspired this song.

'Miss You' (Notorious BIG feat. 112)
Q talks about how they had a unique writing process that lead them to write the hook with each member taking a line. This was actually produced by KG of Naughty By Nature. Biggie wanted to rock over a Diana Ross classic and always wanted to sample classics from his childhood.

Listen to 'Cheat On You,' 'Miss You,' and 'Jealous Guys'
Check out some classic Bad Boy photos'
all after the jump'

Ma$e feat. 112, Jay-Z and Lil Cease 'Cheat On You'

Standout lyrics:
Mommy screamin' pappi can I skate wit you
They wanna ride wit me, stay fly wit me
Wanna help me get rid of my rivalries
Wanna be the ebony to my ivory
But I'm straight though, thanks ma, I only chase dough
We can lay for tonight but in the mornin'
I get Shirley Murdock, I hope your door slam lock, I'm gone -Jay-Z

The Notorious BIG feat. 112 'Miss You'

standout lyrics:
I remember sellin three bricks of straight flour
Got my man a beat down to the third power
He didn't care, spent the money in a half hour
Got some fishscale, ain't no competition that could sour
Got the coke cooked up, a crackhead heaven
In eighty-eight, when Kane ruled, with Half Steppin
A thirty-eight, a lot of mouth, was our only weapon
We was king till the G's crept in
And now I'm missin em

Fed up, my nigga want to take it down south
Sick of cops comin, sick of throwin jacks in his mouth
Gave him half my paper, told 'em go that route
Few months, he got his brain blown out
Now I'm stressed
His baby's mother, she trippin, blamin me
And his older brothers, understand, the game it be
Kinda topsy turvy
You win some, you lose some
Damn, they lost a brother
They mother lost a son
Fuck, why my nigga couldn't stay in NY?
I'm a thug, but I swear for three days I cried
I look in the sky and ask God why
Can't look his baby girls in the eye
Damn I miss you

YOU KNOW THE LYRICS! HAHA!
