(Serena Williams' Olympic cripwalk)

Miss Info: While I was in Chicago for the final stop of the Complex x Sony Experia ION 'Backstage Connection' tour with Fabolous, I got to hang out with my family and also catch up with the homie Andrew Barber (FakeShoreDrive). I stayed in Ian Schrager's new Chicago hotel, The Public'really chic and well done. I knew I was in the right place being able to catch up with Fab and his crew, my homie Gemo Wong (Nike Sportwear designer), and Nate Donmoyer and Jeff Apruzzese from Passion Pit, all in the lobby over the course of two days. They even rent out bikes that you can take out for a ride along Chicago's Lake Michigan beach front (my vote for the best urban beach). So much fun. But the best part of the short trip was spending time with mom, watching theLondon 2012 Olympics. Some of these moments just happened today, but I'll still be texting her to discuss these Olympic highlights:
-Serena Williams celebrated her Olympic gold-winning defeat of Maria Sharapova'by cripwalking on the court.
-South Africa's Oscar Pistorius (aka 'Blade Runner') makes history as the first ever double-amputee to compete in the Olympics.
-an amazing photo of Olympic timing

Watch Serena's crip walk and more'
After the jump

Serena Williams beats Maria Sharapova for Olympic gold, and hits a crip walk on the court. Hater's gon' hate! Hahaa'.
'I don't think I've ever danced like that..I don't even know where the dance came from,' said Serena. Oh, you know where that came from! Your hometown, City of Compton!
Serena has won all four Grand Slams and both Olympic singles and doubles gold. She's so dominant it's just ridiculous at this point.

This whole story of Oscar Pistorius, the South African runner who had both legs amputated as a child and is competing against non-amputees in the Olympics is completely incredible. Pistorius finished 2nd in his 400 meter heat today, and will compete in the semi-finals.
His personal accomplishment is awe-inspiring, but then the debate about his high-tech leg 'blades' is fascinating too. What if man-made body parts actually become faster than 'natural' ones?! What if technology and training enables amputees to outperform other athletes in the Olympics? The Future is here. There was a good feature on Pistorius a few months ago in the New York Times magazine.

I love this photo of the full moon perfectly synched with the Olympic rings hanging in London.  It seems photo shopped but it's real. (spotted on Buzzfeed).

Serena CRUSHED Sharapova. It seemed that at one point she was just toying with her.

Her sister was killed in a gang related shooting, and she's going to 'crip walk' at the olympics. How the fuck is this tagged 'good for humanity'?
